River Valley Auto Transport has warned consumers that search pages on other auto transport sites, including large competitor sites such as A-1 Auto Transport, may appear when you search for our name. A page that mentions River Valley Auto Transport is not necessarily operated by us.
If you enter your details on a third-party landing page, your information goes to that site, not directly to our company. Some auto transport sites share quote requests with multiple brokers. Check the website address and its privacy terms before submitting your name, phone number or vehicle details.

We dispatch vehicles through Central Dispatch only. We do not use another dispatch platform.

Is the person quoting you licensed?
A company arranging interstate auto transport as a broker must have federal broker authority and a bond or trust fund on file. But many people you speak with are sales agents working for a brokerage, not individually licensed brokers. Individual auto transport sales agents do not hold a separate federal broker license. Ask for the company's legal name and MC number, then check its broker authority and bond in the FMCSA Licensing & Insurance system.
Ask how the broker gets paid before you book. Brokerages may charge a disclosed fee or retain a portion of the total quote after paying the carrier; compensation arrangements vary. Ask for the broker's fee, the amount going to the carrier and when each payment is due in writing. At River Valley Auto Transport, our broker fee is $299; the booking deposit covers that fee only, and the carrier is paid at delivery.
